Hydrangea macrophylla 'Tricolor' (Variegata)
This hydrangea comes from Thailand and has a profuse flowering; sometimes it is incorrectly called 'Quadricolor'.
There is an attractive contrast between the deep lilac of the fertile flowers and the pale pink of the sterile ones, which are made up of four non-overlapping sepals. The characteristic feature of this hydrangea is its superb foliage: green, variegated with silver and cream on the margins. It is an arresting shrub, suitable to be planted as an isolated individual.
