Hydrangea macrophylla 'Love you kiss'
Very recent hybrid, probably obtained cross-breeding H. macrophylla with a serrata, of which it retains several peculiar features: the colour, specially of the mature flower, and the very pointed serrated leaf.
The flower head is a lace-cap with white immature florets that slowly tinges the rims with cherry-red. In the mature flower, the initially very evident red rim, will slowly blur towards the centre and at the end, the entire flower appears pink. The fertile flowers, immature, have little pink heads like the ones of the match-sticks, later the florets will open white with evident anthers
